Episode 1. The Case of Annie Börjesson
Annie Börjesson was a 30-year-old Swedish woman living in Edinburgh, Scotland. On December 4th, 2005, Annie’s body was found face down on Prestwick Beach, nearly 80 miles from her flat in Edinburgh. Police immediately ruled her death as a suicide, however, when Annie’s family received her body for burial, she was covered in bruises. On top of this, the police’s suicide verdict depended on a single witness and poor-quality CCTV footage. Annie’s family continue to campaign for a new investigation to find out what really happened to their daughter, but their requests have been denied time and time again. If this really was just a suicide, what do the police and authorities have to hide?

Episode 2. The Case of Ellen Greenberg
Ellen Greenberg was a 27-year-old teacher working in Juniata, Philadelphia. On January 26th, 2011, she was found dead by her fiancé, having sustained 20 stab wounds. Police initially ruled this case as a suicide, but after the results of the autopsy, the verdict was changed to homicide. A day later, the police changed the verdict back to a suicide. But what was it, a suicide or a horrific murder?
Episode 3. The case of Kendrick Johnson
Kendrick Johnson was a 17-year-old student at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia. On January 11th, 2013, his body was discovered inside a vertical rolled-up mat in the school’s gymnasium. The initial autopsy concluded that Kendrick suffocated, and Lowndes County investigators ruled his death as ‘accidental’. However, a second autopsy was conducted, and evidence of blunt force trauma was found, suggesting the death was anything but accidental. The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office still maintains that this case is not a homicide. Is there something more to this case than the official ruling?
Episode 4. The Case of Mario Biondo
Mario Biondo was an Italian cameraman who married the renowned Spanish TV presenter Raquel Sánchez-Silva on June 22nd, 2012. The day after an alleged argument between the couple on May 29th 2013, 30-year-old Mario was found hanging from a rod with a shawl wound around his neck. Spanish authorities ruled his death as a suicide and closed the case. Biondo’s family petitioned Italian authorities to investigate. In 2022, Judge Nicola Aiello concluded that Mario was murdered. So, whose conclusion is right: the Spanish authorities or the Italian authorities?
Episode 5.The Case of Tiffany Vailante
On July 12th 2015, 18-year-old Tiffany Vailante and her parents attended a graduation party in their hometown of Mays Landing, New Jersey. Tiffany disappeared from the party and wouldn’t answer her phone. Tragically, Tiffany had been killed by a train just 4 miles from her home, 27 minutes before her parents reported her missing to the police. Her death was registered as a suicide. However, her family doesn’t agree with this verdict and points to the bizarre actions Tiffany apparently took before her death. Did Tiffany, a promising young woman getting ready for college, really make a snap decision to end her own life?
