My name is Ralph Fairhurst and I'm an MA Journalism student at Edinburgh Napier University. I'd describe my knowledge best and experience as "broad but not shallow"... there is no topic I'm not, at least a little bit interested in. I'm particularly passionate about Business, Economics, Current and Foreign Affairs and my love for sport runs deep. Hello everyone, I'm Ryan Cairns, your new co-president for sport and well-being! I've been a student at Edinburgh Napier University for four years, studying Sport and Exercise Science. Being a lifelong resident of Edinburgh, I'm well-acquainted with the area and its sporting community. Throughout my life, I've actively participated in various sports including football, tennis and snowboarding, with volleyball being a highlight of my time at Napier.

I’m Andrew, a third year student - with a tonne of unaired opinions. Coming from a small town located in the Far North of Scotland, I’m interested to hear from people across Edinburgh and the wider world. Whilst my strengths might lie in long-form writing, starting a podcast with a couple mates has long been an ambition of mine, and I’d love to get involved in some television news now and again!

I am a first year journalism student at Edinburgh Napier University, I'm really enjoying the course so far as it's really practical! I'd love to do either investigative journalism or fashion journalism!

Scottish mountain and football enthusiast, and also a Mountain Equipment fan. I spend most of my time outdoors, and I love to share my thoughts on what makes Scotland so great, in respect to both it's natural beauty and it's sports culture.

I am a third year journalism student. Outside of the course I have great interests in various sports primarily rugby where I have played for my local club from the age of 12. I do dabble in football and have been a long suffering Dundee United fan for as long as I can recall. Away from sports, I regularly attend gigs as much as I can and will without a doubt try an bring the fact I have a Catfish and the Bottlemen tattoo.

Now 22 years old and living in Edinburgh, I originally grew up as a missionary child in Mozambique and South Africa but come from a Brazilian/ English background. My passion is design and I’m in my 4th year of an interior and spatial design course. My hobbies include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Art and reading. The future is hopefully moving to Japan but I’ve always considered my life in Gods hands. My father who is both a reverend and a Dr in the studies of theology has greatly influenced my passion for biblical literature and an appreciation for the world around me. My aim is to share how valuable life can really be and I don’t think that’s at all unfair to try to do.

Hey I'm Conor, A second year journalism student, and one third of the Inside Job Podcast! Journalism definitely made sense as a course if it meant I got to talk for a living. Get me started on whatevers piqued my interests and obsessions that week and you'll be left with a whole lot of useless knowledge and hour later. With the Inside Job, along with Nina and Zosia, I get to put whatever fascinations I've picked up for the week and put them to work. I've gotten to rant and rave about the new theme we've picked for the episode, and follow it up with with a music or movie debrief, or the ever hanging question of have I finished normal people yet?

Italian born and bred but have been living in Edinburgh since 2017. I could listen to (or watch) true crime on end, but my Sundays are all for Formula 1. It took me a minute to figure out journalism was the path I wanted my life to go on, but here I am now! And since podcasts are a big part of my everyday life, I thought why not have a go at them myself!

Given I am doing an English and film degree obviously I am really interested in books and film/TV, but more specifically I really enjoy learning about the varied processes of how films create the image on screen that we initially craft in our minds when reading. I also listen to a lot of music in my free time and attend way too many concerts for my bank account's own good. I am looking forward to chatting with the girls about anything and everything media and literature related on the podcast, and having a good laugh at the same time !
