Radio ENRG [LIVE] Talk, Tunes, Tales, Talent

I have a keen interest in Theatre and the Arts and am building up my repertoire of Theatre reviews! A big fan of Graham Norton I also hope to be a TV presenter or a talk show host.
My name is Kyle, and I am obsessed with music. I have an incredibly strong passion for a wide variety of genres and hope to open up avenues for Radio ENRG listeners. You can catch me playing a mix of music on the ‘Mashup Monday,’ or you can get your weekend started with ‘Dance Anthems’ on Friday afternoons.
I'm a 4th year Journalism student at Edinburgh Napier and a weekly contributor to radio show ENRG Sport. My main interest is in football but I'm a lover of all things sport. I have an interest in a wide array of journalism including TV, radio and writing articles.
Hello, I am Jessica and I'm passionate about storytelling and the art of exploring each medium in which this can be done. Sports, Food, music, people? love em’ all.
Eric is heavily invested in current affairs, geopolitics, languages, and history. He also writes poetry and is an avid Formula 1 and ice hockey fan.
Hello! I’m El, a true crime and meme junkie from Northern Ireland who probably spends too much time online. I’m a nerd with a variety of special interests, including analogue horror, 19th-century American Gothic literature, anime, true crime, metal music, digital art, and internet culture. As of right now, I host a radio show here on Radio ENRG and am an editor for Trill Magazine. My journalism journey started back in March 2020 when I wrote an article for the BBC Young Reporter NI competition. After that, I landed an internship with Trill Magazine in August 2021 and eventually became a paid writer there. I mostly wrote about internet culture, TikTok trends, memes, and alternative music. In February 2022, I started an internship with The Canary, a UK-based news website. There, I completed a four-part series on the NHS’ eating disorder services. In July 2023, I switched from being a writer to an editor at Trill Magazine, as I wanted to learn some different skills and diversify my experience in the field of journalism. I started a Master’s in Journalism at Edinburgh Napier University in September 2023. There are so many branches of journalism I’d love to go into, but ideally, I’d love to be a court reporter or an investigative journalist. However, I would also settle for being a podcast host!
Hello my name is Charlotte, I'm a fourth year journalism student at Edinburgh Napier. I am a Geordie who hopes to end up working in radio broadcasting. I have a passion for politics and current affairs
Hello, my name is Holly, I am currently in my 4th year studying journalism, I am from Arbroath and moved to Edinburgh four years ago to study at Napier. In my spare time, I like writing articles on people I've met and I am partial to the occasional glass of wine.
Writing, analysing, observing, creating, and communicating have always been my strong suits. I have a first class BA in Film and Literature from the University of Warwick, and I completed a year abroad in Berlin where I studied English Philology at Freie Universität (and had the best year of my life so far). Throughout my time at university I have engaged frequently with journalism, writing many articles for campus publications. In my undergrad, I was president of a creative magazine called Cobalt which I am extremely proud of to this day. I also have my own blog. Since joining Napier, I've developed new skills and interests in news writing and radio broadcasting. When I was younger, I did work experience at Siren FM back in Lincolnshire (where I'm from) and this is where my interest in radio began. Now, I'm so excited to be pursuing this further with ENRG! I am a cinephile, an avid traveller, a dog lover, and an extremely curious and eager individual. My day has to start with a morning coffee, I am at my happiest in a big fluffy jumper, and I'm more likely to rewatch my favourite tv shows for the tenth time than ever start a new one. I love meeting new people, having long chats, and exploring new places. I am a multimedia journalist with a keen interest in radio. I write a lot of culture and lifestyle articles from film reviews to mental health content. I am also becoming increasingly interested in news writing, so I'd consider myself to be a multifaceted journalist with a lot of different interests.
Jack has covered the Edinburgh Film Festival as well as the latest releases throughout their time at the University. Jack also frequently contributes reviews of the latest musical releases as well as concerts that come to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
I'm a proudly queer fourth year student journalist with a keen interest in human rights stories and pop culture. I love being on air and being in the radio studio and look forward to pursuing this career once I graduate.
Federica is a fourth-year year journalism student at Edinburgh Napier University. Born and raised in Italy, she flew to the UK in 2016, where her passion for journalism began to take shape. Through listening to friends on this very network and appearing on a certain Napier affiliated football podcast in the past, I became inspired to host a show of my own at the start of the year. Now I am back and determined more than ever to provide quality entertainment each and every week.

Hello, I’m Anna and I’m a MA Journalism student! I grew up in Ireland (in a seaside town beside Belfast!) and I’ve been studying in Scotland for about four years now. I’m one of the four hosts for the ‘Head First’ podcast, and I’m really excited to begin writing for ENRG lifestyle this semester too.
My name is Ralph Fairhurst and I'm an MA Journalism student at Edinburgh Napier University. I'd describe my knowledge best and experience as "broad but not shallow"... there is no topic I'm not, at least a little bit interested in. I'm particularly passionate about Business, Economics, Current and Foreign Affairs and my love for sport runs deep. I'm really excited to see what this year can bring, get in contact with me if you have any queries or stories.
Hello everyone, I'm Ryan Cairns, your new co-president for sport and well-being! I've been a student at Edinburgh Napier University for four years, studying Sport and Exercise Science. Being a lifelong resident of Edinburgh, I'm well-acquainted with the area and its sporting community. Throughout my life, I've actively participated in various sports including football, tennis and snowboarding, with volleyball being a highlight of my time at Napier.
One third of the Culture Cam podcast, multi talented, extremely handsome, all round good bloke.
We are the Edinburgh Napier Film Society! We will discuss fun activities we have undertaken as part of the society whilst also discussing our love for films 🙂
A guy who tries to be funny, but never succeeds. From the mountains of the Highlands to city life of Edinburgh. I love a good chinwag and a debrief with my mates so there's no better way than to put it into a podcast for all to hear.
I’m Andrew, a third year student - with a tonne of unaired opinions. Coming from a small town located in the Far North of Scotland, I’m interested to hear from people across Edinburgh and the wider world. Whilst my strengths might lie in long-form writing, starting a podcast with a couple mates has long been an ambition of mine, and I’d love to get involved in some television news now and again!
As a third year journalism student, sharing my thoughts and opinions comes very easily to me. My podcast, which I co-host with my friend Tavia, is the perfect place to let me do this! Coming from a small borders town, moving to the big city of Edinburgh was a bit of a culture shock, but I think I have acclimated well and cannot see myself returning to small town life. I now love Edinburgh and can't be without the hustle and bustle that comes with city life. I love music and writing, and all things lifestyle related. Tune into my podcast "Dumb Blond" for more unwarranted opinions.
I am a first year journalism student at Edinburgh Napier University, I'm really enjoying the course so far as it's really practical! I'd love to do either investigative journalism or fashion journalism!
My name is Tavia. I'm a journalism major here at Edinburgh Napier University. I grew up in North Berwick. I like music and sports, I used to swim and play piano and some brass instruments. I grew up with two sisters so I have a very girly side to me which will defo come out on the podcast, I'm very loud and extroverted but only in the right company !
Scottish mountain and football enthusiast, and also a Mountain Equipment fan. I spend most of my time outdoors, and I love to share my thoughts on what makes Scotland so great, in respect to both it's natural beauty and it's sports culture.
I am a third year journalism student. Outside of the course I have great interests in various sports primarily rugby where I have played for my local club from the age of 12. I do dabble in football and have been a long suffering Dundee United fan for as long as I can recall. Away from sports, I regularly attend gigs as much as I can and will without a doubt try an bring the fact I have a Catfish and the Bottlemen tattoo.
Now 22 years old and living in Edinburgh, I originally grew up as a missionary child in Mozambique and South Africa but come from a Brazilian/ English background. My passion is design and I’m in my 4th year of an interior and spatial design course. My hobbies include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Art and reading. The future is hopefully moving to Japan but I’ve always considered my life in Gods hands. My father who is both a reverend and a Dr in the studies of theology has greatly influenced my passion for biblical literature and an appreciation for the world around me. My aim is to share how valuable life can really be and I don’t think that’s at all unfair to try to do.
Hey I'm Conor, A second year journalism student, and one third of the Inside Job Podcast! Journalism definitely made sense as a course if it meant I got to talk for a living. Get me started on whatevers piqued my interests and obsessions that week and you'll be left with a whole lot of useless knowledge and hour later. With the Inside Job, along with Nina and Zosia, I get to put whatever fascinations I've picked up for the week and put them to work. I've gotten to rant and rave about the new theme we've picked for the episode, and follow it up with with a music or movie debrief, or the ever hanging question of have I finished normal people yet?
Italian born and bred but have been living in Edinburgh since 2017. I could listen to (or watch) true crime on end, but my Sundays are all for Formula 1. It took me a minute to figure out journalism was the path I wanted my life to go on, but here I am now! And since podcasts are a big part of my everyday life, I thought why not have a go at them myself!
Given I am doing an English and film degree obviously I am really interested in books and film/TV, but more specifically I really enjoy learning about the varied processes of how films create the image on screen that we initially craft in our minds when reading. I also listen to a lot of music in my free time and attend way too many concerts for my bank account's own good. I am looking forward to chatting with the girls about anything and everything media and literature related on the podcast, and having a good laugh at the same time !
My name is Georgia, I'm 23 years old and in my 4th year at Napier studying Mass Communications, Advertising and Public Relations! My favourite podcast is 'P1 with Matt and Tommy' because I'm obsessed with all things Formula 1!
