Megan Shearer: Glassroom Session No. 3

Singer-songwriter Megan Shearer captivated our audience with a personal and heartwarming acoustic set.

Megan Shearer arrived nervously to the her ENRG Glassroom Session. Accompanied by her acoustic guitar and a little blue ukulele she quietly pulled out her song book and patiently waited for us to set up. The rushing around before the session makes for busy environment, with students running around setting up the cameras and seats, but with the calmest of presences Megan stepped up for her soundcheck and in an instant the room was captured.

Megan’s wonderfully wholesome and moving set treated the audience to a mix of her original compositions and a couple of covers. Opening with her own track Hello, the track perfectly set the tone. Covers of Moon River and Karine Polwart’s Follow the Heron were a sweet treat for everyone in the Glassroom. Megan finished her set with an original track titled Our Island, exemplifying everything Megan is perfect at. Her writing is personal and touching, her heartwarming vibe is portrayed perfectly, and an audience is completely transfixed by her playing.
